This paper deals in-detail about the various costs-incurred that forms part of the total quality cost,  their importance, elements, representation and benefits. Determining and analyzing the quality
costs helps in overall process improvement and better decision-making. The various kinds of  metrics that are collected to ascertain the quality cost and relating the testing metrics in to cost
data are also discussed. Quality cost can be compared with the overall project cost or their share as percentage in profits. The Return On Investment on quality initiatives are derived by analyzing
the quality costs. Quality costing proves to be a quantitative way to determine the process maturity.
