customer vs stakeholder
Hi CSQA,
Thanks for the answer but there is a similar question in the past papers but worded differently. Could you tell me that a similar answer would go for that also !
The User of the Software is not only the customer. Apart from user give three other customers who use the software product. Explain how their perspectives are taken care during SDLC.
Was wondering if "3 other CUSTOMERS of a software" and "STAKEHOLDER" would mean the same here?
Regards,
Shinjini

That's a good question... Yes Customers= Stakeholders.
As per management definition, everyone in an organization has customers. Right from HR, Support staff, Managers, CEO etc. Without customers business cannot exist.
PM has many customers, his direct reports are also his customers. I will not go indepth here on this discussion, but to answer the question... it is very similar.
As far as the second part is concerned you will have to explain it differently. Like
PM - Take 5-6 SDLC phases and explain how his perspective will be taken care of
Business Analysts - Only explain the SDLC phases where they are involved. Like they will not be involved in coding, testing, deployment.
Testers - They will not have much stake during Feasibility and Estimation, Maintaince and support etc.
