Hi Suri,
I would like to take CSQA Exam and i am totally new to this certification. I request your guidance. I am from Blore and working in IBM.
I have heard about CSQA CBOK but dont know what exactly is that. Is it possible for you to tell me where i can get this CBOK. Is it a downloadable one or should i join any teaching center to get that?
And i would like to know more details about the Study Materials that are currently available in the websites or tutorial centers.
Treating this as my personal request, can you please help me!

You can get CBOK as free. give search of keyword "2006_CSQA_CBOK" in Google you will get following link open that and down loadable. and you will get CBOK once you register to the Examination.

Comming to your question "Joining teaching center" go through CBOK and decide whether to join coaching center, but what I feel is no need to join coaching center.
and about study martial you can browse this website itself having lots lots of information.

There are 2 Exams CSQA and CSTE,
CSQA : basically talks about QA and it is easier for one who are working as Quality (SQA)
CSTE : It talks about Testing aspects. it is good for the people one who are working as Tester.
I will come to your point "It was told in your office that you suppossed to get a testing certification" , first you decide which certification you are planning to take up and check with syllabus. then decide and start collecting the info about particular Exam.
you can browse QA Articles to get know about these certifications.
and also go through http://www.softwarecertifications.org/ for syllabus , application, and about schedule of examination.
I hope this info helps for you to gear up your study.

I have one CBOK, is it sufficient to pass CSTE Exam or shall i need to follow some other books. If so, is there any particular book to be followed with CBOK for CSTE.
