ISTQB - ASTQB - clarification requested

Hi everybody,

I'm new to this site. I'm preparing for ISTQB Foundation level exam. When I searched the web site I see the fees is different in ASTQB web site it shows $250 and when went to Prometric center and selected ISTQB Foundation level course it shows $200, (I am from USA). I see in the web site that ASTQB is part of ISTQB then why is the fee different? Can anyone Please clarify. Also in ASTQB site it says to register and apply, but in ISTQB site no where it says that need to enroll for the exam. Request to guide me.

Also can any one of you please send me Question Bank for ISTQB Foundation Level, or the other materials for the exam preparation.

I dont have any hands on exp. on Software Testing.But i have completed Software Testing.

I am thinking of giving ISTQB exam.
Its compulsary to have 2 years exp in IT or Testing to give ISTQB exam ?
The Exam is so difficult that fresher cant give it ?

I joined this forum recently and am planning to take up ISTQB certified tester foundation level exam. I have a few questions regarding the exam and was hoping you would help me out with it.

Is the syllabus provided in ISTQB site enough to prepare for the exam. Or is there any other material/book that I need to refer to?

ISTQB is my only choice of exam as CSQA requires the candidate to be working/worked in the past 18 months and I quit my job as a developer 2 years back and moved out of India. Do you think it is good enough to start looking for jobs as a software test engineer?

I am aware of testing process but never been a full time tester, so how long would it take to prepare for the exam.

For ISTQB u need not have any prior experience as such...For CSTE u need to have 2 years of experience(In Any Field)...Its's a pre-requisite for CSTE...
For ISTQB u can download the study material from www.istqb.in/

For CSTE please visit the site www.softwarecertifications.org...Once you register for the exam by paying the required fees(For the selected exam) you would get the latest CBOK...
