Predictable or forecasting models

Dear all, I need some information on Predictable Models / Forecasting models of Software Development, Defect Containment & Defect Injection in stages of Software development. What exactly I am looking in Predictable model is :For example if Z amount of work has to be completed in 100 days, Z involves A + B + C etc works
If A is completed with 50 days, are there any predictable models available which can concretely say ____ amount of days required to complete B, C etc., by taking into consideration competency of the personnel involved, complexity of the work , third party dependencies etc.,
Earned value technique can do prediction / forecasting. You can search for that in google.
